Anyway, a few things I’m noticing just now. The legs go through the ground when you crouch, and the crosshair sometimes blends in annoyingly into the environment.

Still cool, though.

I know the Alpha Demo can get annoying, the enemies are
way too strong. However, I have corrected both the enemy health
and the weak pistol problems in the Mission Beta Demo. Oh,
and just recently I have fixed a bunch bugs dealing with character
physics by using a seperate object for a collision mask.

i really suggest using a different gfed sprite for this game…theres like 3 different ones right?

great game, but I really feel that the extra weapons need more ammo.

Controls are great by the way.

Note: This is NOT a Metroid game, so don’t expect to see secret rooms
or anything. The other Gfed sprites do not match in my game, I have
tried importing them, they just don’t fit. The other Gfed sprites are
currently being used as support AI bots, not the main character.

This game is taking place in the Metroid universe, but will not however
have Metroid gameplay.

I hope that animation gets cleaned up though. It looks like it’s dancing rather than running or sprinting.

I’d honestly like to see how this one turns out. It’s a bit more promising than other fangames I have seen.

One of my friends (Shrander) has cleaded up the walking animation.
I still think he looks a bit odd, but it’s much better than before. Expect
to see a new demo around October 1st, I just hope I can get it out in time.

As for updates, I have got a video of the new demo! It’s actually not much,
but it shows some very simple Trooper AI that will help you in the demo.
The video is in a Zip to reduce it’s size.

It’s a TGF DLL I’m guessing. Copy it from the other demo into the folder of that one and it should work.

Oh, forgot toadd the DLL to the game file.

Im back, with some news! Well, the forum for my game was literally
a grave yard, so I was forced to close it down… But on the bright
side I completed my AI bot and finished my new demo with a friend!

Right now I don’t have much time, so I’ll give a link to the new demo tomarow.

The game is still a Work in Progress, but the full version should be coming
along soon. So far it’s going great. Corruption now has an awsome plot,
more weapons, and the Metroid style map design. Demo of the full game
should be released soon. I’m really trying to add the Metroid feel to the game,
for example I’m building a scanning system (it’s not what you would expect),
and large areas to explore during missions. I’ll keep everone updated
as this games demo nears completion! :smiley:

good music and sound effects, but a little lag and very spazzy (a game of shooting without much behind it)

A agree with the person above me here. I ran out of ammo real quick and you really don’t have much time to run over and grab the other canister, and sometimes, the canisters would just come down not soon enough, and you’d be running around with no ammo… OH NOES! OH NOES!

Every 30-40 seconds, Minigun ammunition will drop on the right
side of the level, and shotgun ammunition on the left. It should
say “sending equipment” by your ammo counters.

The actual game will have much more than mindless shooting,
I will post more about the plot as the New Demo’s release nears.

EDIT: What I usually do is use the pistol at the left part of the level
and let the ammunition build up.
