how can i make sprites?

Hi i’m new. I was wundering how to make sprites and witch program is best for making sprites. Plz make a link if posible.

Things you need: MS Paint, lots of experience.
Oh, and can’t forget knowledge of shading ‘n’ such. I’d suggest beginning by zooming in (x8) on a good sprite (ie. one of Dazzy’s) and analyzing every aspect, then trying to remake it to the best of your ability.

You should learn to use good image hosts such as ImageShack.
