The site was deleted in 2005 right in front of my eyes.
I remember them names geocities and yousendit.
I don’t have all hexit prime 2d midi files.
I only got a few. And there was Hexit Metroid Prime 2 Echoes 2d midi files too.
For mp22d i only have (Hexit_DSAttacks2.mid) and (Hexit_Hunters3.mid).
I remember i opened only amorbis midi file instead of saving it to the harddisk. And thus i can’t get it back. And now that computer is broken forever and can’t be booted. I don’t know if it’s left in the temporary internet files folder in old windows xp computer.
Is HEXIT dead?
Because all hexit emails i find with google does not respond to my question.
I guess never replies to hotmail, yahoo emails, etc…?
Because i am too late?
Based on his DeviantArt activity I’d say he’s not dead.
It’s unfortunate that he used YouSendIt as a host, which would remove the file after 7 days. I tried collecting as many as I could back in the day, but I remember possibly missing a few.
Either way, I have all the P2D MIDIs I could get my hands on, backed up across multiple storage devices in several locations. However, because I don’t consider P2D to be a dead project (mainly because I’m still working on it in my spare time, along with a few others), I don’t think I’m going to hand out any of the resources quite yet.
I seem to be missing Hexit_Amorbis.mid as well. Didn’t realize it ever existed. It really is too bad that would always disappear a week after they were posted.
By the way, not all of the MIDIs you listed were made by Hexit. (Only the ones prefixed with ‘Hexit’ were made by him). Here’s the list of arrangers for the MIDIs you listed:
Well, not too much has happened since your last visit in terms of music. In June there was a new P2D tech demo released (Windows link) which has a total of about 7 minutes worth of remixed Metroid music including a brief fugue, but that’s an ad hoc soundtrack just for that demo.
