And to answer your question: native language is always much nicer to read, and is easier to share with your friends (of the same native language)

I think he would be fine for the job. Reading English and speaking English are two different things… and his speaking isn’t as bad as some of you are making it out to be anyway.

You really don’t need to have PERFECT English to translate. You just need enough knowledge in English to UNDERSTAND what they are trying to say, since different languages don’t follow the same grammar rules. He is perfect, since:
A.) No one knows Italian better than a native Italian speaker
B.) He understands us perfectly
C.) He is willing to do this
