Speedcubing

So… what can you tell me about this little cube?
Can you solve one?

Well, apparantly there’s actually a sport revolving around who can solve the cube the fastest. The current world record is something like 7.9 seconds.

Personally, I have just recently picked up a cube and figured out how to solve it. Now, I’m working up from the beginner’s method and to the Fridrick method (the best method for speedcubing).

Tell me what you guys think.

Any of you interested in something like this?

I tried the speed method a few times right after I first learned how to solve one about five years ago, but I was never able to get it to be faster than the beginner’s method, which I could do in about 2 minutes.

I speedcube.
And it’s spelled “Friedrich”, I belive.

I never really bothered that much - I learned how to do two layers with the beginner’s method and then was like “eh”

No… it was named after Jessica Fridrick, not Jessica Friedrich
