Would Metroid work

The grapple beam was new. >_>;

(And no, it was NOT the hookshot–that was introduced three Zeldas after the one ZC is based on!)

It WAS the hookshot. It just wasn’t the ZC hookshot. Polygon or whoever based it off of the hookshot.

The grapple beam practically IS the hookshot anyway… just electrical.

What you are talking about.

I have NO idea why this wasn’t mentioned…

It’s… a game with a bounty hunter. Woo?

>_>

It’s a female bounty hunter who gets blown out of the sky and crashes on a planet where she must get a lot of upgrades involving jump height and weapons to fight off bosses in new areas and obtain more upgrades and explore huge words in the isometric view. You level up, too.

What I just linked too is frequently hailed as the newest 2D Metroid.

This idea would actually work really, really well.

It would keep the action part intact while presenting a new type of gameplay.

@Algernon: The way Scurge battle system works isn’t the same way Reaver’s concept’s battle system works. And the concept’s overworld isn’t isometric either.
