lets say they both have nothing. they will both die in 1 hit. it takes sonic a few seconds to speed up in his games.in those 7 or so seconds, mario jumps on him. sonic dies. or mario gets the donkey kong hammer and bashes sonics brains in.

really its a compitition of who can jump onto the other one quickest…and…either can move…so really…yeah…
well mario is a plumber. im more than sure all the adventures he had was just one big drug trip. as for sonic sonic is stupid too but would rip right through mario despite his fire ball power or whatever…besides ive been convinced ever since 1991 when sonic was introduced to the world he probably has a gun or knife hidden on him somewhere just encase jumping on things isnt enough
now as for the gameplay point of view
sonic is invincable because he can just keep picking up his rings
mario will lose his fire power, get smal and die.
Sonic is going to win I mean a Fat plumber like mario is no where near sonics fast speed.
