Ever heard of dishonesty? It’s not like there aren’t thieves and crimals in the world. It’s not like the Watergate scandal ever happened. Sure, we don’t know if he’s really fibbing but there’s a good bit of evidence up there to validate it.

Hey, I have that guy’s sprite sheet. Then I got a bigger one.
I made that sprite. Not from scratch, but I made it and an entire sprite sheet for every one of Samus’ movements. Sure, it’s a color edit, but it took me more time to take the pencil in paint and dot each of those pixels properly (and a little Photoshop). It was still my work, and took me more time than erasing someone’s name did.
Go ahead and justify theft however you like. The chances of you ripping a sprite sheet and having the exact same format for the sheet as he did are INCREDIBLY small.
And copying a sprite sheet is no challenge. I can do it in a minute.
