Not that you don’t already know this, but letting the members do whatever they want doesn’t make everyone happy. The NFS topic which you claim to be harmless fun and attractive to new members certainly turned the OP of that topic away from the forum for good! That’s the sort of thing I would have liked to prevent, but since you know better than I what’s best for the members…
Moreover, any member with an infinitesimal trace of maturity is probably turned away from this forum upon first glance of your “harmless fun”, which is why the forum, and catalytically the project, is so inactive.

They have no problem with outsiders, though. Only two people have been banned there, and one of them is no longer banned–he betrayed the admin some years ago (hmm, I wonder how that fits here) and got him banned from P2D, and the other one, the one who is still banned at MHQ, is basically a humanoid spambot.

Er, my point was that it seemed like harmless fun to you guys, but couldn’t have been anything other than offensive to him. He was new here and because of that, he can’t be expected to just shrug off you guys’ having fun at his expense. To me, the loss of a new member is equally tragic to the loss of a veteran member.
